Roleplay Show – Rules

REGISTRATION

The minimum age to register is 15 years.
Minors must provide a signed consent form from a legal guardian.
The number of performances is limited to 15. In case of high interest, the organizers reserve the right to select participants based on the submitted application.
Both individuals and groups of up to 5 members can register.
If participants are unable to attend, they must cancel via email at least two days before the festival.
By registering, the participant:
agrees to the use of their photos by the Advík festival
confirms they have read the rules of the Roleplay Show and the festival
accepts responsibility for any damage caused by violating the rules
agrees that violating the rules (even if discovered later) may result in disqualification, revocation of prizes, and potential ban from future editions
When registering, participants must send a short description of their performance
Required materials must be submitted by July 17, 2025 to: cosplay@advik.cz
Materials: character photo(s) and audio file

Costumes are not judged in the Roleplay Show, but a good-looking costume (purchased or handmade) enhances the overall impression.
Costumes used in other contests are allowed.
Costumes must not contain sharp objects, metal, airsoft, or functional firearms.
Costumes and performances must be appropriate for all ages, free of offensive content or symbols promoting hate.
Costumes must be based on an officially published character – humanoid versions of animal or non-human characters are allowed.
Participants must state the exact version of the character and provide reference images.
Participants must be able to move safely in costume through narrow spaces, stairs, and reach the stage.

A technical rehearsal will be held on Saturday morning (exact time to be announced directly to participants).
Attending the rehearsal at the set time is mandatory – without it, participation will not be allowed.
Failure to attend on time may result in disqualification.
Costumes are not required during the rehearsal.

Participants must provide audio accompaniment; no projection screen will be available.
All files must be submitted by July 17, 2025.
Performance duration:
1–3 minutes for individuals
3–5 minutes for groups
Participants may use up to two props, each:
Easily carried by one person
Max weight 10 kg
Reasonable dimensions
Setup and cleanup time max 30 seconds

Only the performers may be on stage during the performance.
Microphones, tables, and chairs are not allowed. All props must be provided by the participants.
It is forbidden to:
Spill liquids
Create mess
Throw confetti
Use open flames
If you're unsure about a special effect, please ask in advance.
Leaving the stage during the performance is not allowed.

After the performance, participants will answer 3 questions or complete 3 tasks while remaining in character.
The first question will be prearranged with the host; the remaining ones will be from the audience.
Participants may decline any question/task without explanation, but must complete a total of three.
During the Hot Seat segment, participants should stay in roleplay as their cosplayed character.

The main prizes are decided by the audience, who vote for:
Best individual
Best group
Additional surprise categories will be announced during the awards ceremony.
